Meyer Joubert was the first wine maker to identify the popularity of the world famous R62 and consequently trademarked and is producing the only R62 wine on this popular route.

Getting to Joubert-Tradauw on the R62 is an easy and scenic three-hour drive from Cape Town, passing through Montagu.

Or, if coming from the Garden Route (N2), via the magnificent Tradouw Pass from Swellendam and (R62) the fertile Tradouw Valley, or from Oudtshoorn (R62) over the plateau of the Klein Karoo.

These routes all meet in the small town Barrydale, an earthy fragment of paradise, nestling in the folds of the majestic Langeberg Mountains.

Joubert-Tradauw is exactly 11km outside of Barrydale on the R62 towards Montagu. Barrydale, despite its growing popularity, retains its rural, old-world charm.
